So you have been following your training and diets plans and have decided to go all in and do a competition. Now you have the exciting task of ordering your first competition bikini. Hours have been spent scrolling over our IG page and you have a entire folder on you camera roll dedicated to bikini inspo. So where do you start? what is the next step?
There are several different federations you can compete with around the world. In this article we are going to discuss the process of order a WBFF bikini.

HOW TO GET STARTED
Starting the process is easy, you have most likely spent hours scrolling Instagram feeds and Pinterest and have a selection of screenshots of bikinis you love. The next step is to submit your design ideas via our website and we can use the images to sketch a design we think will be perfect for you.
If there are any specific design elements that you want to include, please include these in the notes. It could be a specific colour, style, choker or shoulder piece that you want. The clearer and more concise you can be with your design the easier and faster the entire process will be. If there is anything you are unsure about don’t worry. Our design team can offer advice as we have many unique design ideas.

HOW MUCH IS A COUTURE BIKINI?
This is a hard question to answer, it’s a bit like asking how long a piece of string is. The cost of your couture bikini will depend upon how much detail and what design elements you want to add. We recommend budgeting between AU$750.00 - $1200.00 for a Couture Bikini.
We DO NOT offer payment plans for couture bikinis. We ask for a once off AU$100.00 design fee per Couture Bikini. The design fee is due upon submitting your images via our website. The full amount of your bikini in then due no later than 10 weeks out. We will email you an invoice to pay via our website. Plan and have the money ready to go.
The design fee covers the cost of our team sketching, researching materials and discussing your design. It is not refundable due to change of mind. This includes deciding not to compete or changing your design idea all together. The cost of designing your bikini is not included in the total quote.
When submitting your images online you can choose your budget. We will work to the best of our abilities to incorporate all your design ideas within that budget. If we feel that your ideas exceed your budget, we will offer you a range of alternative solutions for you to choose from. Once the design and quote have been accepted there is no change of mind. If you do change your mind additional charges might be incurred. Full payment is due at 10-8 weeks out from your competition. We accept payment via our website ONLY, an invoice will be sent to your email when due. We do not start any work on your bikini until it has been paid in full. Delay in payment may result in delayed delivery.
COUTURE BIKINI PROCESS
Now the fun begins. You have paid your bikini in full. We will then ask for all the measurements we require for your design. We take all these measurements and your design into consideration and choose the size and style we think will be most suitable to you. We know our product best and have found having us choose provides the best outcome, but if you have any specific requests upon size now is the time to say.
We know you will most likely change in size between now and your competition. To ensure a great fit we will be in contact with your around 4-5 weeks out from your competition to confirm measurements. We then size your bikini to these measurements and dispatch it quickly.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
We generally require a minimum of 8 weeks to construct a couture bikini. It is possible to make it happen with less time if you’re able to provide feedback quickly, additional rush fees may apply. We recommend starting the design phase of your bikini at 12-16 weeks out from your competition. This allows plenty of time for clear and concise correspondence. Once your bikini is made, sized and dispatched you can expect to receive it 2-3 weeks before your competition.

Our team come from a variety of dressmaking backgrounds and have over 100 years combined experience in the fashion industry!! We guarantee we will work extremely hard to bring your ideas to life and create a couture bikini that you will love.
