Nikki Cassebohm

I began dancing at the age of 4. I was trained in all styles of dance which gave me a lot of experience on stage. I did exams every year and for 10 years straight I was awarded distinctions in all of my ballet exams. I found so much joy out of getting on stage and being able to show my talent, personality and strengths through dance - it is something I am very passionate about.

My passion for dance continued throughout my high schooling and in 2013 I was with the Australian Dance Theatre for a year where I studied contemporary and other styles of dance. In 2014 I began to teach dance for a children’s dance school in Adelaide. I taught all styles of dance and got immense joy out of seeing my students progress, learn and improve each year. In addition, I also taught at a High School in Adelaide where my dance teams were awarded overall wins, first and second places. In 2018 I was awarded for Best Choreography in the SA Stage Dancing Society. I now only teach private HipHop classes.

During my earlier years of dance teaching I picked up some unhealthy eating and lifestyle habits. I was going to the gym sporadically and wasn’t really noticing any results. It wasn’t until 2017 when I saw my very first body building show in Adelaide when I realised I needed to be on stage along side the other women. Like an epiphany it came to me, this is what I want to do! The next day I went the gym and began to train with PURPOSE. Since then I have gained a level of discipline, diligence and maturity that I couldn’t have gained anywhere else. Body building has taught me to break the barrier from being comfortable by stepping out of my comfort zone to where my mind and body is challenged beyond limits.
At the end of 2018 I moved to Sydney to pursue my Personal Training career, continue to build my business within Health and Fitness and learn from some of the best body builders in the industry. In the same year my application to work at Fitness First Bondi Platinum was accepted, I was awarded my Pro Card with the WBFF, I started my Body Building Posing business and was offered two sponsorships - one with GlamFit Bikinis of course.

Body building competitions was always going to be something I was drawn to and even more importantly, with the WBFF. The WBFF allows competitors to step on stage and shine through personality, attitude and confidence. Unlike other federations they put more emphasis on the fashion and entertainment, allowing you to create extravagant bikinis and wear beautiful costumes or gowns. I have seen some incredible bikinis made by the GlamFit team, but my first WBFF 2018 bikini was a bikini I will truly cherish for a long time! I wouldn’t know, and I don’t know to this day how far body building will take me, but I know that the passion in my heart outlines anything that could stop me."
